A honey-stone bastide set in its own walled garden of lavender, cypress and old plane trees, with a long pool and a shaded dining terrace. Three generous bedrooms, terracotta floors and tall shuttered windows keep it cool through the summer.
Saint-Rémy — Van Gogh's town — and its Wednesday market are a few minutes away; the trails of the Alpilles start at the gate. Lunch is long here, and the cicadas keep time.
A classic Provençal house with everything you need. We'll come back for the spring lavender.
Six of us, endlessly comfortable. The Alpilles trails start right at the gate.
Van Gogh's light is real. We painted, we swam, we ate under the plane trees. Faultless.
Lovely, spacious and well kept. Pool was perfect after a day at Les Baux.
Beautiful house and garden. The Wednesday market is a must. A car is essential out here.
Gorgeous setting. A couple of rooms are warm at midday but the thick walls cool quickly.
