A restored dry-stone mas folded into the hills below Gordes, all lime-washed walls, worn terracotta floors and shutters the colour of lavender. The walled garden hides a summer kitchen, a long plane-tree table, and a pool screened by cypress.
The markets of Gordes, Roussillon and the Sénanque abbey are a short drive; the rest of the day is for the shade and the cicadas.
A real Provençal mas, beautifully kept. We'd come back in spring for the quiet.
Lavender at Sénanque, ochre at Roussillon, then home to the pool. Couldn't fault it.
Cool tiled floors, birdsong, the smell of warm earth. We didn't want to leave.
Lovely, peaceful and well equipped. A car is essential here, which we expected.
Gorgeous Provençal house. The drive up the lane is narrow but worth every minute.
Beautiful setting and host. Some rooms feel a touch dark in the afternoon — part of the old-stone charm really.
